Peanut Butter Squares

Peanut Butter Squares are a fast treat to make.  You can stir Rice Krispies into them to make them crunchy, or even cornflakes.  I like to put chocolate on the top and it makes them taste like candy bars.  There's no baking or cooking, so these are really easy.

Ingredients Needed:                        Equipment Needed:

2/3 cup honey

1 cup peanut butter

1 cup instant non-fat dry milk

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)  If you use the chocolate, it will taste like a candy bar, but you don't have to.

Measuring Cups

Measuring Spoons

Bowl for mixing

Spoon or scraper for stirring

9 x 9 inch square pan or baking dish

Non-stick Spray for spraying dish

Microwaveable dish or measuring cup for melting chocolate chips

How to Make Peanut Butter Squares

Measure honey and put it into a large bowl

Add the peanut butter and stir

Add the powdered milk

Mix well

Spray a 9 x 9 inch square pan with non-stick spray (like Pam)

Pour the mixture into the pan

Spread evenly in the pan

If you're using chocolate, put the chocolate chips in a glass measuring cup and microwave for one minute.  Stir until the chocolate is melted.

Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter mixture

Spread the chocolate evenly over the peanut butter squares

Refrigerate for an hour or so until the chocolate is set.

Cut into squares and put them on a plate and have your Mom take your picture.
