Moo Goo Gai Pan

June Lee's Famous Chinese Banquet


 4  Servings (more if part of a multi-dish banquet)




1      tablespoon soy sauce

2      teaspoons ginger wine

1      teaspoon sesame oil

1      tablespoon oyster sauce

1      teaspoon cornstarch


2      boneless skinless chicken breast halves, sliced in thin strips


2      tablespoons peanut oil

1/2   cup sliced bamboo shoots

12    snow peas, (or more)

1/2   cup Chinese button mushrooms

2      cups hearts of greens, or bok choy

1/4   teaspoon salt

1/8   teaspoon sugar

              Dash MSG (optional)



     Mix the soy sauce, ginger wine, sesame oil, oyster sauce, and cornstarch.  Mix with the chicken breast strips and marinate them for 30 minutes.

     Heat the peanut oil in a wok and stir fry the chicken strips until they are white.  Add the remaining ingredients and stir fry until the vegetables are crisp tender.  Serve immediately.
